I am a psychiatric NP who has worked independently and in Community Health. I am passionate about the care of my clients of all ages. I learned that passion while serving on active duty in the military when I got to help out a doctor in an aid clinic which led to me becoming a nurse. I have lived all over the country including northern Alaska. I love dogs and camp as much as I am able to. Currently, I live in the greater Louisville area with my wife and 2 daughters ages 8 and 14. , As a nurse, my treatment focus was on adolescent children of all diagnoses in the mental health inpatient setting. I then became a board-certified psychiatric Nurse practitioner in the outpatient setting. I have experience treating ages 6 and up across the lifespan including serious mental illness such as schizophrenia. , My philosophy is to use medication only as needed and only as much as is required to achieve results. Therapy is an integral part of treatment and the least invasive. It should be utilized as much as possible.
