About Us

Lisbeth Parra is a licensed mental health counselor. She provides compassionate, patient-centered care for people struggling with mental health issues. She understands that patients are dealing with the stressors of everyday life, uncovering childhood trauma and its effects on their current reality, and feeling the anxiety that impacts their daily reality. Her goal is to instill a sense of strength in every patient so they can see that they have the power to live the life that they deserve. During sessions, patients can expect a supportive and empathetic environment where they can talk about their difficulties without judgement. , Lisbeth has been providing therapy since 2018. She treats anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, sleep issues, trauma, women’s issues, mood disorders, and more. Lisbeth’s therapy toolkit includes cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, relational approaches, and emotionally focused therapy. , Outside of work, Lisbeth reads and writes poetry, experiments with skincare, and spends time with friends, family, and her dog Layla. She speaks English and Spanish. Lisbeth enjoys working at SohoMD because of the “ecosystem” structure. Knowing that she has a team of clinicians supporting the well-being of her patients is something she values tremendously.
