I worked as a special education teacher for 7 years before I went back to grad school to become a child/educational psychologist so I bring a psychoeducational approach to the work I do. My goal is to help my young clients learn about their strengths and needs, and their behaviours and emotions. From there, I guide them in how to use that learning to develop skills and tools to enhance their coping and their overall well being. , My passions in this field include helping kids and parents navigate the challenges associated with ADHD, supporting the development of effective problem solving skills for navigating various life stressors, and being a safe and supportive person that they can go to when they just need someone to talk to. , For therapy, I work with children and youth ages 8 to 19. For psychoeducational assessments, and giftedness assessments, I work with clients between the ages of 6 and 19.
