Hi, I’m Shelane; a mother of three, yogi and Registered Psychologist from rural Alberta. I enjoy supporting mental, physical and spiritual wellness of clients from various cultural backgrounds. I currently offer counselling for individuals (13+) both in person and online in Red Deer and Olds. In my practice, I strive to create a safe and compassionate space for clients to journey inward. My counselling approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and shaped by therapies centered on mind-body connection. , I view counselling as a collaborative process; working with clients to identify challenges, define goals, and explore ways to reach them. Some of the therapeutic approaches I use are: Somatic-based therapy (IFS, Somatic experiencing, EMDR), Mindfulness, and Cognitive-behavioural therapies (CBT, ACT, DBT). , I believe it is never too early or late to make your wellness a priority. As someone with over a decade working in the mental health field, I care deeply about people and the communities I work and live within.
