As a therapist, I focus on facilitating a space of comfort and safety for individuals facing marginalization, oppression, racial trauma, intergenerational trauma, religious trauma, and attachment related issues. Trauma can result from many different lived experiences though commonly misunderstood as solely a result of war, violence, accidents, etc. It can show up in your life in various ways such as anxiety, perfectionism, people pleasing, feeling stuck/unmotivated, dissociation, shame, relational issues, etc. It can be overwhelming and exhausting to feel like you’ve tried so hard to heal and still feel like something is missing. , I use my training in Somatic Experiencing to assist clients with befriending their nervous system, helping it to discharge the stressful energy stored there that tends to keep people stuck in negative cycles. I strive to cultivate a safe environment for healing , while being present, compassionate, understanding, curious, and non-judgmental. , Reaching out to someone to deal with things that have happened in your life can be a very intimidating process, yet you are here and that in itself is remarkable and courageous.
