" Hi! Im Shayna. Im a registered clinical counsellor based in Squamish offering in-person and virtual individual and couples counselling. I have clinical training and experience working with a variety of concerns - anxiety, depression, nervous system dysregulation, identity & personal growth, parenting, substance use, relationship issues, attachment wounds, and complex trauma. My area of focus is perinatal mental health and I find I am often working with expectant and new parents as they navigate this transition and all that comes up during this phase. ", My approach is relational, collaborative, and pragmatic. I aim for you to leave sessions with information, tools, more awareness, and a different way to approach your concerns. I draw from experience and training in cognitive behaviour therapy, somatic modalities, EMDR, as well as extensive training and experience in the area of perinatal mental health. , Whatever is going on for you, I can provide emotional support, therapeutic intervention, an action plan, practical tools, and psycho-education to help you on this crazy ride.
