" I have enjoyed a long career working with children, adolescents & adults in a variety of settings (schools, residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics). As a therapist at Jewish Family Service, I see a variety of clients who are addressing issues related to depression, anxiety, family/relationship/parenting problems, adolescence, past trauma, etc. I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral and supportive therapy, with an emphasis on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, to help my clients discover new & effective ways to manage their emotions, cope with lifes stresses, and take committed actions to attain their goals. ", I teach clients the six core concepts of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help them manage their troubling feelings/thoughts/urges, identify their most cherished values, and then take committed actions to live in alignment with those values. I also teach parents the very effective Nurtured Heart Approach to parenting.
