Clients who see me are often struggling with primary relationship issues, identity issues brought about by transitions or grief and loss, anxiety or depression- which begins to rob ones joy, present or past trauma, present or past loss of attachments, or feelings of dissatisfaction with their present life that requires a change. These early patterns, though functional in the original family, often complicate ones life and the ability to sustain satisfying and meaningful relationships. ", When I work with couples, I focus on building the quality of their emotional bond and attachment to each other. Often, as their emotional attachment and love strengthens, many of the communication problems seem to resolve as couples learn to tap into their emotional connection for answers to marital problems.
