I believe that the therapeutic counseling relationship is a powerful tool for bringing about healing. Everybody has a story. Everybody’s life is unique in its own way, based upon the experiences they have encountered throughout their life and on a continued everyday basis. Without proper coping skills, these unique experiences can sometimes be compounded until they and our lives are unmanageable. While life is full of beautiful moments there are also times when life is chaotic, painful and unmanageable. , I am trained in EMDR and use an eclectic blend of Humanistic approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, and Mindfulness/Acceptance therapeutic techniques including CBT/DBT/ACT. I have experience working with adults in crisis situations and spent the first part of my counseling career working as a crisis counselor in the community. , I am ready to support anyone going through a challenging and painful time by being present and willing to walk with my clients to the other side to embrace the beautiful moments of life. I equip clients with skills that will see them through when challenges arise again and I work to bring a sense of calm to the most challenging situation.
