Attempting to work on yourself alone only takes you so far and really drags out the Suffer-Fest. That’s what therapy is all about; an unbiased, collaborative relationship, preferably with someone who actually gives a shit (me, hi), that can help you to understand and accept yourself fully. , Spoiler alert: Addiction, codependence, depression/anxiety, perfectionism, material striving, control issues, and self-criticism etc. are behaviors—or parts of you—that serve a purpose. In getting to know these parts, they will have less power to mess up your life and you will be more connected to your true Self (woo-woo IFS stuff...I also practice EMDR). , Being humbled by addiction and trauma forced me to ask for help, which led to a spiritual shift and dedicating my life to helping others. I’ll work with anyone, as I believe therapy is all about the right relationship. And I enjoy working with weirdos and people that struggle fitting into boxes. I mean therapy has got to be better than the dentist, right?
