Dr. Shauna Perry

My role as an art therapist and counselor is to actively assist each client in their own unique process of discovering their insights and strengths to help them navigate the primary issues that have brought them into therapy. My goal is to create a safe, accepting, and trusting environment for my clients. I value the art process as an approach to healing. I am a trauma informed therapist. I draw from strength based, cognitive behavioral, humanistic, experiential, and person centered approaches to therapy. , Participating in art therapy allows one to access their own innate wisdom and unique healing abilities. Additionally art therapy offers opportunities for self-empowerment, a vehicle for the safe expression of emotions, as well as the ability to promote meaningful expression during times of transition, change, grief, loss, and adjustment.
