About Us

I provide both brief and longer-term counseling to individuals grappling with a range of challenges, from life transitions, anxiety and depression to complex PTSD and dissociative disorders. Trauma is a particular focus of mine and I continually educate myself on the most helpful methods of healing. I am certified in EMDR, have 2 years training in Somatic Experiencing and have trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Internal Family Systems and other therapies. I take a holistic approach, and will work with you to explore how diet and nutrition, activity, sleep, belief systems and relationships impact your overall well-being. , Depending on your needs, I may use very concrete therapies such as CBT or DBT, explore issues of spirituality, or work with somatic therapies such as EMDR - or all of these. I am a strong believer in self-care and self-compassion, and will help you identify your natural resilience and the strengths you are already using so you can build on these. , I am a formal lay student in Zen Buddhism and have been a serious meditation practitioner since 1997. I bring not only an interest in the use of mindfulness to the therapeutic process, but a great deal of personal experience with various forms of mindfulness and meditation, as well as the challenges and benefits of practicing this.
