Yes, you have strengths. When you feel anxious, depressed, traumatized, or overwhelmed in general, it is easy to forget about your natural strengths and capabilities. You come to therapy for several reasons. You want to identify a specific goal and make measurable progress towards that goal, and you want to use this safe space to unpack your thoughts and feelings, to know you are heard, not judged or criticized. From this experience your mood can improve, your coping capacity can deepen, and your confidence can increase. When we work together to identify your strengths you will move forward with clarity and in a positive direction. , Dr. Page is licensed to practice in Connecticut and Vermont. He works with individuals, families, and groups to resolve conflicts, create solutions, and live happier, healthier lives at home, in school, and at work. In his fourth decade as a social worker, he brings significant experience treating depression, anxiety, and trauma with CBT, DBT, and EMDR. , Since 1986, Dr. Page has extensive experience teaching, leading, and providing high quality mental health care at universities, psychiatric PHP, IOP, inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, and public schools at both the elementary and secondary levels. He has been with his partner Lynn since 1983, and they have raised four kind children.
