Please note that for many conditions it can be imperative that you see a specialist. Seeing a generalist who is not trained to treat your condition can prolong recovery and add to feeling hopeless. Generalists may inadvertently be worsening your anxiety by providing reassurance, by encouraging you to avoid fearful situations or by using incorrect techniques. Check with your insurance provider to find out what your "out-of-network behavioral healthcare benefits" are. You may find that seeing a specialist, who provides faster, longer lasting results, is more cost effective in the long run. The Center is able to provide a reduced fee or payment plan if finances are an issue. While most clients are seen weekly, the Center is able to provide multiple weekly sessions if faster results are desired or if there are time limitations. Clinicians can provide treatment in the home, school and community (e.g., driving, flying phobia). Teletherapy via phone or video-chat is available for any client residing in Pennsylvania.
