About Us

I think of therapy as a way of freeing ourselves from the obstacles which prevent us from moving forward in our lives. Frequently these obstacles present themselves to us in the challenges of the outer world--in problems at work, in difficult relationships, in adapting to life changes, or in the sudden impact of a traumatic event. And sometimes what stands in the way of our freedom and happiness lies within us, as negative thought patterns, conflicting or confusing emotions, and unexpressed feelings--all of which can result in depression, anxiety, chronic illness, low self esteem--burdens we often carry alone. , My holistic and integrative approach acknowledges that sometimes what happens to us in life can live in our bodies as unconscious numbness and denial and can lead to physical symptoms, mental discomfort, and spiritual emptiness. I can help free you from stressful and ingrained patterns through conventional talk therapy and mind-body techniques. , With a backgound in dance, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation, I integrate the healing arts and psychotherapy. Drawing on classical and contemporary psychotherapeutic approaches, I will focus on your individual needs as you strive for increased self awareness, self-expression, wholeness, and new ways of thinking about yourself and your life.
