My focus of treatment has been to allow children to express themselves in a way in which to be free and in a nonthreatening way. , Through play, I have been able to allow children to express themselves to work through concerns regarding school, stress, and or family dynamics. I use various expressive techniques for the child or family to express themselves and to look deeper as to the root of the problems. , I provide the family with alternative ways to address behaviors and to communicate effectively as to their needs and wants. It is important to include the parent into the therapeutic process, with such inclusion, both parent and child can restore attachment and find healthy ways to express their needs.
