About Us

I have helped hundreds of people cope with a wide range of concerns. I have worked with individuals in a counseling and educational capacity for 20 years. In my practice, I provide counseling services helping people deal with depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, work/school concerns, compulsive behaviors (including sexual addiction), sexual identity issues, chronic illnesses, and HIV/AIDS concerns among others. I worked as a Staff Psychologist and completed a training internship at the prestigious University of California in San Diego. Further, I have degrees from the University of Central Florida, Florida State University, and the University of Nebraska. , I use a collaborative approach to counseling, incorporating client goals and value systems. I focus on the life situation of the person, couple, or family, including their successes and challenges as they pursue life goals. I help them use their personal strengths to find new solutions to life challenges. , Some of my additional specialties include helping individuals with issues concerning personal identity, including cultural affiliations and sexual orientation. I also provide psychological assessment for some medical procedures including bariatric surgery (gastric bypass) as well as general psychological evaluations for other purposes.
