Heidi C. Donovan

About Us

Dr. Donovan earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology and Human Systems from the Florida State University in 2001. Her specialty was in neuropsychology, with a research emphasis in neuropsychological assessment of patients with traumatic brain injuries. She completed her residency at the VA Medical Center, Washington D.C. and post-doc in Clinical Psychology at Carolina Psychological Health Services. Dr. Donovan worked in private practice for several years before accepting a position as Senior Psychologist for the Florida Department of Corrections in 2004, where she was responsible for the provision of mental health services to over 1,200 inmates in a close-management correctional institution. , She also served as an on-call Psychological Consultant for Santa Rosa Hospital. In 2007, a move to Virginia allowed Dr. Donovan to return to her passion, treating individuals, couples, and families in a private practice setting. She served hundreds of wonderful families in Central and Northern Virginia over the course of eight years. , " Following her husbands retirement from the Marine Corps, Dr. Donovan and her family relocated to Orlando. She re-opened her practice in Oviedo and proudly assists families throughout Central Florida. Dr. Donovan treats individuals, couples, and families struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, stress and anger management, adjustment issues, eating disorders, and relationship troubles. "
