My role as an art therapist is to help you feel seen and to guide YOU towards a deeper connection with yourself. Art is a way to get to know yourself, to explore your inner world, your longings, desires, patterns that you can’t seem to shake, pain, gratitude, joy, etc! I will serve as guide for you to express what is inside, working at your pace, in a way that feels safe. The goals of art therapy are not to make everything beautiful or to render ANYTHING in perfect detail or technique—but to see and experience what’s there and (sometimes) to transform the material. , Sessions are currently telehealth. You may already have an art practice or be completely new to making art! I can help with directives, ideas, or materials to explore. Part of my practice is to create art in the session (or afterwards) reflecting on what arises for a client in therapy, a visual way to feel seen, connect, and provide deeper insight. , I ask you to reflect, what inside of you is longing to be seen?
