Hello. I am James Moore and I have 53 years of experience as a clinical psychologist in a variety of settings including institutional, academic and private practice. I developed and ran my own head injury treatment facility in Carbondale, Illinois, but have spent my last 36 years in private practice in Miami, Coral Springs and The Villages, Florida. My internship and training took place at Elgin State Hospital, the first such institution in the state of Illinois. The facility housed 4000 or so patients and I was able to see most, if not all, of the mental illness spectrum during my 6 years there. , I have specialized in psychological evaluation, neuropsychology, forensic psychology and geriatric psychology. My modes of treatment include individual psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and, when called for, some degree of psychoanalytic therapy. , I look forward to utilizing my unique experience set to assisting new clients to achieve a more satisfying and successful quality of life.
