My philosophical orientation toward therapy tends to be "eclectic." In selecting treatment methods, therefore, I tend to draw ideas and techniques from a number of the major counseling approaches that are supported through research (e.g., cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, emotionally focused therapy and family systems therapy). During the early phase of counseling, I will encourage you to share information with me that will help me understand you and that will help me know more about the nature and history of the concerns that brought you to counseling (e.g., work, family, social relationships, health, and spirituality). , Counseling is a way of talking through your problems in order to begin resolving them. The way people get better is by making small changes in their thinking and behavior every day. The counseling process is a collaboration between the counselor and the client, working as a team towards implementing healthy goals. , My therapeutic approach is anchored in the Christian worldview that the Bible provides us with principles and truths to help us thrive in daily living.
