About Us

Dr. Valerie Allen specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their families. She works with youngsters who have learning, behavior, medical, and/or social skills issues. She offers supportive counseling, direction, understanding, and referrals for ongoing care. She focuses on life-long skills for positive socialization and independent living. She also provides case management and coordination of related services between schools, colleges, and community agencies. She published a workbook for teens, "Go to the Guidance Office and Ask the Counselor About Career Choices," available on Amazon. Amazon.com/author/valerieallen , Dr. Allen is a state-licensed and Nationally Board Certified School Psychologist and Nationally Certified Case Manager. She has many years of experience working with at-risk youngsters and families in distress. She also works in crisis care management with individuals and organizations. She has taught students from elementary school to post-graduate studies. , Dr. Allen has been in private practice for over 30 years and has been a teacher, guidance counselor, and administrator in public and private education. She has taught graduate and undergraduate students in teacher preparation and mental health counseling. Her articles on parenting and education have appeared nationwide.
