Life can often times make us feel like a crab without a shell, being thrown around by the waves into the rocks of the jetty. For many of us, there was never a "before" period - rather, the struggle has been all one has known. Individuals born into dysfunctional family systems often find that vulnerabilities from childhood not only fail to leave us as we become adults, but often make frequent and unwelcome appearances in the form of insecurity, shame, misplaced guilt and difficulty in relationships, to name a few. , I take an eclectic approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Such approaches include identifying evidence-based coping strategies from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to provide short term relief while we work together to address the etiology of your suffering with use of psychodynamic approaches. , " Healing is not something that happens overnight.
