About Us

" I have 20 years experience working with eating disorders - including Binge Eating Disorder - depression, anxiety and trauma. I treat adults, adolescents and families. I started The Burlington Eating Disorders Center in Vermont in 1991 and have helped many individuals overcome their eating disorders -- I use a team approach with nutritionists, family therapists, PCPs and psychiatrists. I have been a counselor or student affairs officer at several NE colleges including Middlebury College and UVM. I have worked with many survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking and harassment through my former position at the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response at Harvard University. ", I use a variety of theoretical approaches to treating eating disorders and related disorders including CBT, DBT, narrative therapy and feminist psychology. I use mindfulness training to help clients regulate themselves. Clients become comfortable identifying and experiencing their emotions and learn to avoid using their ED to numb or distract away from their emotional world. , I have extensive experience in cross-cultural counseling and have developed an expertise in working with individuals involved with theater, music and the creative arts.
