Life is messy, beautiful, heartbreaking, and hopeful. So is the process of change. To be honest about this takes courage and vulnerability. It is also the first step in the process of personal transformation. By working with me, you do me the honor of sharing these experiences for the purpose of healing and personal growth. I believe in a collaborative model of therapy that is centered on your experiences and relational. By sharing together from a place of authenticity my goal is to listen, support, and challenge you in order to face and overcome obstacles standing between you and the fullness of the life you were meant to live. , I draw from a number of theoretical frameworks that include trauma informed, strength based, solution focused, CBT, and systems practices. However, I prefer to relate on a human level and focus on building meaningful relationships where true compassion and understanding can lead to meaningful transformation. , " My background is in community based mental health and service organizations working with children, youth, adults, and families. Particular areas of interest and experience for me include trauma, womens issues, empowerment and self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, multiculturalism, and transitioning to college and adult life.
