Sharon obtained her MSW from Boston University. She has extensive experience working with neurologically diverse individuals of varying abilities. Sharon has worked in emergency services in hospitals, community based mental health and school settings. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan and she enjoys her teenage clients just as much as older adults in their eighties and nineties. Her desire is to provide her clients with a culturally sensitive space to share their struggles, find hope and meet their goals. Sharon has worked with clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. , Sharon believes every individual is different with a unique set of circumstances therefore her therapeutic approach is always tailored to each client’s needs, personality and developmental level. Treatment approaches Sharon uses are eclectic and tailored to the unique individual and they include: (TF-CBT), CBT, motivational interviewing and DBT. , Sharon has experience with a wide range of areas of concern including immigrant issues, trauma, foster care and adoption, domestic violence, self-esteem, life transitions, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. Whenever necessary, Sharon will always make referrals and/or collaborate with medical and psychiatric providers for further evaluation.
