My clients are usually children with challenging behavior because of their temperament or diagnosis, but I also work with kids whose parents need help solving an isolated behavioral problem. Issues might include: emotional regulation, physical aggression, anxiety, tantrums, potty training, sleeping in their own bed at night, and following directions. Typical diagnoses include ADHD or ADD, anxiety, autism, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. I also work with clients of all ages who have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). My goal is to use the most effective therapeutic approach that is maximally efficient. , I am a behavior therapist, not a talk or play therapist. Whatever the problem, I can help find a concrete and effective solution. My recipe for getting such quick improvement with kid behavior is starting with parents first to implement behavior-based parenting strategies. I rely on Exposure and Response Prevention as the gold standard treatment for OCD. , It can be frustrating to have a child who has challenges with controlling their behavior and managing emotions. This is also true for individuals grappling with OCD.
