People seek therapy out for many reasons, in essence, people just want to feel better. We want to feel less stressed, less depressed, less anxious, less angry. We want to feel more happy, more passionate, more sexual, more satisfied with our life, relationships, and careers. How does this magical shift happen? Actually, no magic required, just the courage to take the first step in knowing you want to experience your life differently than how you are experiencing it today. Through purposeful dialogue and a supportive and empathic environment this shift in living and perspective is not only possible but probable. , In therapy, we will work towards identifying what these issues mean to you and how best you can move through them with grace, self assuredness, and compassion. It is your right to live a more joyful and authentic life, and I am here to remind you of this inherent truth. , My practice combines psychodynamic, relational, and mindfulness orientations as well as practical problem-solving and traditional approaches. I have extensive experience working in an inpatient hospital setting with survivors of trauma and chronic illness. Through this work I understand the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment.
