I work with individuals and families through a trauma informed approach, combining Indigenous culture and tradition with Western therapeutic skills to support them as they negotiate the highs and lows of developmental stages and life transitions and work through them to build healthier lives and stronger relationships. , With almost 20 years in trauma informed mental health work, I am also certified as an Indigenous Addiction Counsellor. My skills are in Crisis Intervention and de-escalation, Anger Management, Addiction treatment, PTSD, depression and anxiety treatment and the affects of childhood trauma. I use CBT, Narrative therapy and IFS informed therapies. , I believe it is vital to build as safe a space as possible to support people in their healing journey. I believe that it is important to work from a perspective that is guided by lived experience, personal healing and a belief in the resilience of the human spirit. I bring all of that into my work in order to build an honest & holistic healing experience.
